Client
Users access VPC via their web browser from Windows-based PCs or Macs. Our latest client is html-based and supported on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Edge and Safari. You can also access it on smart phones and tablets. Our legacy client application is Java-based and can be accessed with Java Plug-in version 1.8.0 or above on Internet Explorer, or outside of a browser with Java Web Start.
Server
VPC can be installed:
- on your company's servers - it can be installed on a stand-alone server or a virtual environment running a Windows server operating system version 2008 and above
- in an Amazon Web Services environment
- in an Azure Cloud environment
- or arrangements can be made with a third party hosting service
Ancillary software includes the Apache TomEE web server and a backend database. Supported database options include MS SQL Server or SQL Server Express versions through 2019, and Oracle up through 19c.
VPC supports Multi-factor Authentication in various configurations including Azure and F5.
VPC supports the SAML 2.0 standard to provide Single Sign-on (SSO)
VPC supports a multiple application server environment providing enterprise wide scalability.
